MS. LIZ, SWIM SCHOOL
DIRECTOR & INSTRUCTOR
Liz began her teaching career in 1996 at Grandview Swim School in Monterey Park. She swam throughout high school and continued teaching during the summer months at Grandview. A year after graduating from high school she was invited to be the JV swim coach at Gabrielino High School. In addition to coaching she taught swim lessons for the city of Sierra Madre for two years. In 2010, she began teaching swim in South Orange County while obtaining a Masters in Special Education from Loyola Marymount University. After successfully running her own private swim school for five years, she has now become a part of the world renowned Nadadore Foundation.
Coach Brad, Senior Instructor
Brad started swimming on the Nadadores swim team when he was five years old. He continued swimming for the team for 13 years. In high school he swam as a national team member, as a Nadadore. He was also a Varsity swimmer for Capistrano Valley High School. In 2015, Brad became an assistant coach for the Satellite Program for the Nadadores Within one year he was promoted to head coach. In addition to coaching, he was asked to share his talents with the swim school and began teaching lessons in 2016. He enjoys seeing his students progress through and hopes in the future his students will surpass his highest level of swimming.
Coach Evin, Senior Instructor
Evin has been teaching swim lessons to kids of all age groups and experience levels for the past 5 years. He swam competitively and played water polo for 4 years at Capistrano Valley High School and for an additional year at Saddleback College. When teaching, Evin knows how to motivate his swimmers to do their best and learn the proper techniques quickly while also having fun and staying safe.
Coach Alexis, Instructor
Kimmie swam for the Nadadores for four years and then continued swimming and playing water polo for San Juan Hills High School. She is currently attending Cal State University San Marcos and serves as the treasurer for the swim club there. Kimmie hopes that every parent and child sees the pool as a safe place to have fun year round. As an instructor, she love to see kids learn and grow as they work their way into becoming a better swimmer.
Coach Kimmie will be returning in May 2019.
Coach Laura, Senior Instructor
Laura earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Chapman University and her Secondary Teaching Credential from UCI. She taught high school biology for 7 years before having 3 children of her own, currently ages 9, 7 and 4. She enjoys teaching because she loves seeing the joy on a kid’s face when they accomplish a new skill they have been striving to achieve. Laura is looking forward to starting her second year as an instructor. She says “I believe that being around water should be a fun and enjoyable experience and I truly believe every child should learn to swim.”
Coach Lauryn, Instructor
Bachelor of Arts in Child Development
She been teaching swim lessons for about 5 years now and I love every minute of it. She played water polo and swam all four years in high school and for two years at Orange Coast College. She transferred to Chico State in the fall of 2016 and will be graduating in May 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development. She has a passion for teaching and always have since she can remember, and this is right up her alley! She hopes to change the life of every student and swimmer for the better at every chance I get.
