Liz Bridgford, Swim School Director & Instructor 

Liz began her teaching career in 1996 at Grandview Swim School in Monterey Park. She swam through out high school and continued teaching during the summer months at Grandview. A year after graduating from high school she was invited to be the JV swim coach at Gabrielino High School. In addition to coaching she taught swim lessons for the city of Sierra Madre for two years. In 2010, she began teaching swim in South Orange County while obtaining a Masters in Special Education from Loyola Marymount University. After successfully running her own private swim school for five years, she has now become a part of the world renowned Nadadore Foundation.

 
 
Laura Warhurst, instructor Laura earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Chapman University and her Secondary Teaching Credential from UCI. She taught high school biology for 7 years before having 3 children of her own, currently ages 9, 7 and 4. She enjoy’s teaching because she loves seeing the joy on a kid’s face when they accomplish a new skill they have been striving to achieve. Laura is looking forward to starting her second year as an instructor. She says “I believe that being around water should be a fun and enjoyable experience and I truly believe every child should learn to swim.”

Steven Derman, instructor Instructor Steve Derman swam for the Mission Viejo Nadadores for two years. During his time there, he swam mostly with the National Team under Coach Richard, Coach Rose, and Coach Bill. Steve has been working with the Mission Viejo Nadadores Swim School since August of 2016. He has experience teaching children of all levels and ages, from beginners to advanced. Steve is a graduate of Aliso Niguel High School and swam on the school team for three years. He is currently enrolled at Saddleback College and is majoring in Political Science. Steve loves working with children and hopes to create a warm and friendly place where both students and parents can feel relaxed and have fun.

Instructor Steve Derman swam for the Mission Viejo Nadadores for two years. During his time there, he swam mostly with the National Team under Coach Richard, Coach Rose, and Coach Bill. Steve has been working with the Mission Viejo Nadadores Swim School since August of 2016. He has experience teaching children of all levels and ages, from beginners to advanced. Steve is a graduate of Aliso Niguel High School and swam on the school team for three years. He is currently enrolled at Saddleback College and is majoring in Political Science. Brad Matsumoto, Instructor Brad started swimming on the Nadadores swim team when he was five years old. He continued swimming for the team for 13 years.  In high school he swam as a national team member, as a Nadadore. He was also a Varsity swimmer for Capistrano Valley High School.  In 2015, Brad became an assistant coach for the Satellite Program for the Nadadores Within one year he was promoted to head coach. In addition to coaching, he was asked to share his talents with the swim school and began teaching lessons in 2016. He enjoys seeing his students progress through and hopes in the future his students will surpass his highest level of swimming.

Kristin Youdall, Office Manager Kristin is a true Southern California girl growing up swimming at the beach and the local pools. For over 8 years, Kristin ran a strict production calendar and deadlines for a major clothing brand. She is a mom to three young children and is excited to work with the Nadadores Swim School to ensure that every child that is booked on our schedule becomes a stronger swimmer.
